For a mid aged, pronator, 5 9, 170 lb runner who does 12-15 miles a week, this shoe provides exactly what I need to avoid injuries. It has the stability required to avoid knee injury.I found this shoe when I was working in Peoria, went to one small runners shoe store, and had a guy look at my shoes (Nikes at the time), he saw me running and recommended the Saucony Omni Ultimate.
This has been my 7th shoe of the same model (from 2002 Omni 4,5,6).
Last year I tried another model from Saucony but got hurt pretty soon, so I went back to the Omni's.
If you are over 160 lb, you will want the ultimate model.
My recommendation, go to your local store, see if the owner is there (usually these stores are run by actual runners), and get a good recommendation of the type of shoe right for you.
